You want to carry your baby while you carry on other activities
You want day-time sleeps to be less of a struggle
You want to increase your bonding time with your child and decrease the chance of post-natal depression
You would like to learn more about the traditions of babywearing
You would like to share your babywearing experience with others
You want to meet other parents and have a chance to get a warm brew while your children play!

one of our groups…

We currently run playgroups in Darwen and Blackburn with trained volunteers who are more than happy to help you with all your babywearing needs. You can get questions answered, try out any of the carriers in the library or get assistance with a sling or carrier that you already own.

Our playgroups (keep scrolling) provide a great opportunity to meet many like-minded parents, and they are as much a social gathering of people as they are for the hiring of carriers. We make sure that all the groups are older-sibling friendly and breastfeeding friendly too.

Sometimes our groups can be very busy and you may need a little more guidance than we can give in those short consultations - in these instances we’d recommend booking a 1-1 session

Groups & walks

Whether you are looking for a bit of fresh air, want to try out some carriers, or just fancy a warm brew and a natter while the little ones play, we have a wonderful lineup of weekly and monthly groups waiting for you!

Our groups are perfectly suited for children aged 0 to 5 years, and older siblings are also more than welcome to join in the fun during the holidays. Expecting a little one? You are incredibly welcome to come along before your baby arrives! It is the perfect, stress free time to try out different slings and carriers, chat with our volunteers, and get comfortable with your options before your newborn is in your arms.
